 light brown spots

My catcus has light brown spots on it. Some of the spots appear ot be getting darker on the inside. Most of them are on the upper parts of the plant. Some of them appear to be drying out from the inside. Should I cut the infected parts off? Is it too late to save it? It seems like the base of the plant is still fine.
